Man in critical condition after rollover

One person is in critical condition at Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston after a one-vehicle rollover Sunday on U.S. Highway 59 North.

Seven people were transported from the wreck at 5:50 p.m., said Sgt. Eline Moya, spokeswoman for the Victoria Police Department, but six were treated and released from DeTar Hospital Navarro and Citizens Medical Center by Monday afternoon.

Stephanie Quinones, 31, of Houston, was driving the 2006 Ford expedition when a tire blew out, causing it to roll several times in the 1800 block of U.S. Highway 59, Moya said.

Two people were ejected from the vehicle, a 13-year-old girl and her father, Ramiro Garcia Jr., 34, of Pearland.

Ramiro Garcia was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Health System on Sunday night.

It is unknown if Garcia and his daughter were wearing seatbelts, Moya said.
