Pump Jacks edge Generals

KILGORE - The Victoria Generals rallied from a 2-0 deficit but dropped a 3-2 decision to the East Texas Pump Jacks on Tuesday night at Driller Park.
The Pump Jacks scored runs in the first and second innings against Generals starter Kyle Keller.
The Generals pulled within a run in the fourth inning on a RBI single by Drew Featherston.
The Generals tied the game in the sixth when Hayden Vesely singled and scored on a fielder's choice by Jacob Hubert.
But the Pump Jacks pushed across the decisive run in the seventh on a double by Brooks Marlow, a single by Mitch Meyer and a ground out by Joey Armstrong.
Vesely, a St. Joseph graduate, went 2 for 3 to lead the Generals at the plate.
Chase Angelle, who relieved Keller in the fifth inning, was the losing pitcher.
The Generals and Pump Jacks wrap up the first half of the season Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Generals return to Riverside Stadium Thursday at 6 p.m. against the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
