"And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good." - Genesis 1:10
My great niece, Abby Elaine, went down to my beach without even asking me. She went to my beach with some of her friends. That is a sure sign she is growing up now. That makes a third generation of Indianola Beachgoers, and she and her friends are welcome to my world.
When she got home, she was telling her mother, Shannon, about her beach trip. Abby said, "This is my best shell find." Then, she held out her hand and showed her mom a perfect sand dollar.
Shannon assured her that she did not find it at Indianola Beach, but Abby said, "We went to Indianola, and I was looking for shells, and I found this sand dollar." Shannon said, "No way!"
Shannon said that I am going to call Aunt Elaine and see if they have sand dollars at Indianola Beach.
My niece Shannon called me and told me that Abby says she found a perfect sand dollar on Indianola Beach, and I said, "No way!"
Shannon said that Abby went to Indianola Beach and was looking for shells and she says she found this sand dollar.
Shannon said that I am sitting here holding this perfect sand dollar in my hand. The only place they went to was to Indianola, so figure it out Aunt Elaine. She found it.
I guess I have to prove it's true by getting Abby to put a picture of it on her Facebook and anything that appears on Facebook has to be true, at least according to this generation.
God gave Abby this perfect blessing and has also blessed me with a great niece named Abby Elaine who loves our beach and will continue to look for special blessings wherever they may be.
Dear Lord, help us always be open to new finds and new blessings that You have in store for us, and please help me to learn from a teenager to expand my boundaries. Help me to look for blessings that haven't been found before.
