High school students, from left, Chelsea Soto, An Nguyen, Vy Le, Binh Nguyen and Dalton Vasquez visit the Sonny Carter Training Facility Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. The students were part of a weeklong University of Houston-Victoria Digital Simulation and Robotics Summer Camp. The camp gave 12 high school students the opportunity to get college-level experience in robotics, engineering and digital simulation. The camp was funded through part of a grant from Alcoa Foundation. It was run by Alireza Tavakkoli, an assistant professor in the UHV School of Arts & Sciences and director of the university's digital gaming and simulation program.
