VC Night at the Ballpark features contests, giveaways

WHAT: VC Night at the Ballpark

WHEN: 6-9 p.m Thursday

WHERE: Rosebud Stadium inside Riverside Park

Victoria College has partnered with the Victoria Generals to host its fourth annual "VC Night at the Ballpark" on Thursday at Rosebud Stadium in Riverside Park.

Gates will open at 6 p.m., and the game will start at 7:05 p.m. The Generals will play the East Texas Pump Jacks.

A pregame party starts at 6 p.m. for Victoria College students, faculty and staff.

The first 50 people wearing Victoria College SEAL T-shirts will receive an insulated stainless steel travel mug/tumbler. Two-set stylus pens will be given out to the 10th and 20th people wearing their SEAL T-shirt. VC students and employees can also enjoy free pizza, drinks and giveaways at the pregame party.

During the game, Generals fans and VC students, employees and supporters will compete in contests such as the root beer chugging contest and the best "Arrgghh!" contest. Also, Captain Vic, the Victoria College mascot, will race around the bases with other mascots.

Victoria College's Associate Degree Nursing Program will be highlighted, and recent VC scholarship recipients and other notable VC award winners will be introduced.

A VC Quality Enhancement Plan table will be set up at the game to give Generals fans the opportunity to learn more about VC's plan designed to enhance student success. General admission tickets to the game are $6, but VC students can receive a discount with their student ID.
