Jennifer King was a May 2013 graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler, earning a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. While at UT-Tyler, she was a member of the Patriot Women's Golf Team for three years, named ASC Woman's Golfer of the Week in March 2010, named a First Team All-ASC selection in April 2010 and played in two NCAA Division III National Tournaments. King was a student member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the UT-Tyler ASCE Concrete Canoe Team which designed, built, presented and raced a canoe made out of concrete. Her team won the ASCE Regionals and participated in the ASCE National competition in both 2012 and 2013. She graduated in 2008 from Victoria Memorial High School where she was a member of the Viper golf team. King is working as an engineer for CivilTech Engineering Inc. in Cypress. She is the daughter of Charley and Lynda King and granddaughter of Margaret "Tootsie" King and Ruth Starr Green, all of Victoria.
