GVEC presents Victoria College with Public Service Award

The Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative recently presented its Public Service Award to Victoria College as part of the Cooperative's 75-year celebration. The Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative recently presented its Public Service Award to Victoria College as part of the cooperative's 75-year celebration.

Victoria College, GVEC's community partner, was recognized for the higher learning and training opportunities it offers to meet the diverse employment needs in the Guadalupe Valley.

GVEC General Manager and CEO Darren Schauer presented the 2013 GVEC Public Service Award to Victoria College President Tom Butler.

Schauer said it was a pleasure to present the Public Service Award because "it's a reminder of how fortunate we are to have organizations and individuals so willing to give of their time and efforts to make our communities a better place for us all."
