Emergency personnel at the scene a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 59 at Post Oak Estates Wednesday morning. One person was transported to a Victoria hospital.

A Victoria woman was transported to the hospital after a three-car wreck Wednesday morning.

A tractor-trailer was traveling south on U.S. Highway 59 when the driver failed to control its speed and struck a tan Buick LeSabre that was attempting to make a right-hand turn onto Post Oak Boulevard, said Trooper Gerald Bryant of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The LeSabre then struck a red Dodge pickup that was at a stop sign, Bryant said.

Jeanette Nuells, 58, of Victoria, who was in the pickup, was transported to Citizens Medical Center. She was treated and released, according to a hospital representative.

Jose Elias, 46, of Willis, was cited for failure to control speed, Bryant said.

The wreck investigation was completed by Trooper Jeannie Slovacek and assisted by Trooper Brian Babcock.
