CUERO - Team USA Gymnastics athlete Savannah Vinsant arrived to Cuero this weekend to work with young gymnasts.

The 19-year-old, who competed in the 2012 London Olympics in the women's trampoline, helped gymnasts at South Texas Elite and Cheer work on trampoline techniques. She said wanted to help them strive to become good athletes.

"Not only am I going to teach them techniques and get their routines better ... but I'm also teaching them to believe in themselves," said Vinsant. "Their confidence level, I hope, will increase dramatically."

Vinsant previously trained with Chad Ganaway, the coach and owner of South Texas Elite Gymnastics. He wanted to show children they can dream big if they work hard at it.

"To have her come back for an Olympian clinic, it's pretty amazing," said Ganaway. "One thing about Savannah is she is an excellent role model. It gives somebody for the kids to look up to."

Mackenzie Blain, 10, was jumping on the trampoline and hearing reactions from Vinsant on how to improve on her fall.

"She is helping me in making my skills better," smiled Blain. "She's making me sharper and keep my toes pointed more."
