Good thing Obama didn't lead Hoover Dam work
Editor, the Advocate:
Thank goodness that the Obama administration and the EPA weren't around when the Hoover Dam was being built in the 1930s (I was able to see this engineering marvel when I went on vacation).
The EPA and Obama would have been hysterical about blowing holes into the rock, all the digging, the use of grouting (something like fracking), the use of millions of tons of concrete - the list goes on.
It's wonderful that Americans of that era had the mindset of work and pride so they were able to help nature and man at the same time.
If the government wants to "create jobs" (with the help of the private sector), then maybe a project like the Hoover Dam is what Obama and his progressive movement should be looking at.
Wishful thinking. God bless America, the greatest nation on Earth - no apologies.
