80 more cast ballots in Victoria council runoff early voting

June 4, 2013 at 1:04 a.m.


After two days of early voting in the June 15 city council runoff election, 166 people have voted in person, including 80 who voted Tuesday.

Of the 345 mailed ballots, 247 have been returned.

Early voting in the Super District 5 runoff election continues through June 11 at the Victoria County Election Administrator's Office, 2805 N. Navarro St. Voting will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays except Friday and Tuesday, when the hours will be extended from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Registered voters within Super District 5, in the southern half of the city, are eligible to vote in this election.

Eleven polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day where voters will cast their vote for either incumbent Joe Truman or Dr. Andrew Young.
