A two-car crash Tuesday morning on state Highway 185 sent three people to the hospital, officials said.

The wreck happened about 7:10 a.m. when a 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass driven by Maria Garcia, 63, of Victoria, pulled onto the highway from Diebel Drive, said Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Trooper Gerald Bryant.

It was struck in the rear by a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero traveling east on Highway 185.

Garcia and two passengers, Ezequel Rodriguez, 61, and Juan Lopez, 18, both of Victoria, were taken by Victoria Fire Department Emergency Medical Services to Citizens Medical Center. They were all treated and released.

The driver of the Alero, Daniel Ramos, 39, of Victoria, was uninjured.

All involved were wearing seat belts, Bryant said.

Garcia received a citation for failure to yield right of way.

Trooper Jesse Chavana investigated the crash.
