Early voting in Victoria runoff election continues

After three days of early voting in the June 15 City Council runoff election, 249 people have voted in person, including 83 who voted Wednesday.

Of the 428 mailed ballots, 247 have been returned.

Friday at 5 p.m. is the deadline to request an early voting by mail application. For details, call the elections administrator's office at 361-576-0124.

Early voting in the Super District 5 runoff election continues through Tuesday at the Victoria County Elections Administrator's Office, 2805 N. Navarro St. Voting will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays except Friday and Tuesday, when the hours will be extended from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Registered voters within Super District 5, in the southern half of the city, are eligible to vote in this election.

Eleven polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, when voters will cast their vote for either incumbent Joe Truman or Dr. Andrew Young.
