Two suspects remain at large following an armored car robbery in El Campo.
About 8:30 a.m. Monday, an armored car in the parking lot at Prosperity Bank, 1301 N. Mechanic St., was robbed of an unknown amount of cash, according to a news release from the El Campo Police Department.
After making a drop-off and a pickup, the armored car attendants were confronted outside the bank by two suspects, according to the news release.
The suspects were armed with an unknown type of weapon.
They were driving a white Ford van, which was recovered a few blocks from the bank and later discovered to have been reported as stolen.
They entered a tan or gray four-door car, possibly a Honda, and fled in an unknown direction, according to the news release.
One attendant received minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and release.
"Evidence has been collected and is being processed. Leads are being investigated," said Terry Stanphill, El Campo police chief.
The El Campo Police Department is being assisted by the FBI and Texas Department of Public Safety.
