Students place in competition

Our Lady of Victory School recently competed at the 2013 Private Schools Interscholastic Association Academic State Meet (PSIA) in Fort Worth. Students awarded state medals, front row, from left, are fourth-grader Andres Ramos, first in Music Memory; seventh-grader Kelsey Ellett, sixth in Number Sense; fifth-grader Ricky Gonzales, second in Prose Interpretation; first-grader Mia Mabray, fifth in Storytelling; back row, from left, are seventh-grader Carson Young, third in Listening; sixth-grader Pranav Jain, first in Music Memory; eighth-grader Jyortirmaya Jain, third in Spelling; eighth-grader Benjamin Boyle, sixth in Science; and fourth-grader Matthew Janak, second in Music Memory.  Andres Ramos and Pranav Jain received a perfect score on their test. More than 170 schools participated at the PSIA State Meet. Our Lady of Victory School placed fifth overall in the elementary division.
