Had 161 cows and 21 bulls. The packer market continued to drift lower as cows are coming to market from everywhere, and demand will not support these numbers at past levels. Moisture problems continue to plague pastures and culling continues.

The calf market was steady to stronger with last week's market. Market was solid on all weight classes with 400 to 550 pound calves $1 to $3 higher. Lighter calves held onto last week's gains.

Packer bulls: Heavy weights, $80-$91; lower grades, $70-$79.

Packer cows: breakers, none; boning cows, $65-$78; canners and cutters, $70-$80; light and weak, $40-$54.

Palpated dry cows (24 bred cows): $79-$84; pairs (10): $960-$1,240.

Compared to last week: The market was stronger again this week. Heavier weight calves sold steady to mostly $2 higher. Lighter weights sold $4 to $8 higher. Demand continues very strong on the better quality classes.

Packer cows and bulls sold $2 lower on about 110 head total.

Packer cows: Higher dressing utility and cutter cows, $74-$88; lower dressing utility and cutter cows, $62-$74; light weight canner cows, $50-$62.

Packer bulls: Heavyweight bulls, none; utility and cutter bulls, $91-$98; light weight canner bulls, $82-$91.
