Lucas Humpal, 19, tosses a ball to another player in the batting cage during practice before a Generals game. The Texas State freshman was named the Warstic TCL Pitcher of the Week after a three-hit, seven strikeout performance against the Texas Marshals.

For the second consecutive week, the Victoria Generals have at least one player named to the Warstic Texas Collegiate League weekly honors.

Lucas Humpal, a freshman at Texas State, was named the Warstic TCL Pitcher of the Week for the third week of the season after shutting down the Texas Marshals in a 13-1 victory this past week.

The right-hander pitched seven innings against the Marshals and allowed no runs on just three hits with seven strikeouts and no walks.

So far this season, Humpal has started two games - winning one and losing the other - pitching in 11 innings while posting a 3.27 ERA. He's allowed six runs, only four earned, on 10 hits with one walk and 14 strikeouts, third most on the Generals' roster.

Last week, outfielder Jacob Hubert was named the Warstic TCL Player of the Week.
