Richard Padron, 45, of Victoria, is placed on a stretcher after being in a motorcycle-car wreck at the corner of Navarro Street and Airline Road. He was taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro in Victoria Monday afternoon for treatment of leg injuries.

A Victoria man was hit on his motorcycle while traveling through the Airline Road and Navarro Street intersection Monday afternoon.

Richard Padron, 45, was going north on Navarro in the outside lane on his Honda V2600CY at 1:48 p.m.

A 2006 Chrysler 300, driven by Adamay Williams, 74, of Victoria, was facing south at the intersection. She failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto Airline Road, where she struck Padron, said W. McLeroy, a senior patrol officer with the Victoria Police Department.

Padron was taken by ambulance to DeTar Hospital Navarro with injuries to his legs, McLeroy said.

Padron was not wearing a helmet, he said.

A hospital spokesperson said about 6:30 p.m. Monday that Padron was listed in stable condition.

Police have not issued any citations.
