Goliad man shares Juneteenth stories

Juneteenth is held June 19 to recognize the date when slaves in Texas were informed that they were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation in 1865.

Goliad resident Michael Nash, whose ancestors were slaves in Victoria County, has written these stories about Crossroads residents who observe the holiday.
