Getting just 10 minutes with D.L. Hughley can be tough, but when you get it, he's downright funny about it.

Hughley, best known for his television sitcom "The Hughleys," is one of The Original Kings of Comedy and promises to bring the funny to four shows at the Golden Gecko on Friday and Saturday nights.

Hughley took a quick break from the set of a new show he is co-hosting with Michael Ian Black called "Trust Me, I'm A Game Show Host."

The show will air in October on TBS, but before that, Hughley has Victoria on his mind.

Q: We've seen some of your HBO comedy, and it's racy and funny. But how would you describe your comedy?

A: I wouldn't, and I've never tried to. I just take what I see and what I feel every day and use it.

Q: What do you expect Victoria to be like? Have you ever been here?

A:I love Texas, except for in the summer when it gets hot. I've been to Austin a bunch of times ... San Antonio and Houston. Victoria, I have not. I hope to see an audience. I've worked in Texas a lot.

Q: What's the most offensive joke or skit you've ever said? Victoria and Texas can be kind of conservative ... so?

A:I think anything can be offensive. I'm always kind of straightforward; the ultimate goal is for people to have a good time. You don't have to say Texas and conservative as if they are separate. They are the same.
