Drivers need to let 18-wheelers turn, too
Editor, the Advocate:
I am fed up! This has been the eighth time that somebody coming from Seadrift has used the Port Lavaca turn lane to cut off my tanker truck and turn to go to Victoria. I was in the turn lane that was clearly marked for those going to Victoria. So what if I have to stop at every railroad track? You can wait the few seconds that it takes for me to stop, check and cross the track before you go. I've been thinking of installing cameras on my truck's front, rear and sides to catch you people in all the motor vehicle violations that you commit on a daily basis and turn it over to "Daddy Law" so he can issue the proper tickets, because "Daddy Law" is so busy pulling over 18-wheelers because truck drivers make more money. I've heard that's what they are told at the academy - pull over more 18-wheelers. That's why so many of you get away with the motor vehicle violations that you commit. So I am going to help "Daddy Law" do the job he's been neglecting. Camera time!
