The death of a 20-year-old Hallettsville man Tuesday has been ruled a suicide.

About 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, Quintin Moore was discovered in a barn in the backyard at 1645 N. Texana St., according to a news release from the city of Hallettsville.

Hallettsville Police and Lavaca County Emergency Medical Service personnel performed CPR before Moore was transported to Lavaca Medical Center.

At the hospital, Lavaca County Justice of the Peace Michael Andes performed an inquest and ruled Moore’s death a suicide.

Andes also ordered an autopsy.
