Troy Howard and Linda Wilburn were married 50 years ago in Victoria, Texas. They recently celebrated with their friends and family. The children of the couple, along with their spouses are, Troyleen Roberson and husband Vince; and Royce (Andy) Howard and wife Rhonda. The grandchildren of the couple are Larissa Watkins and husband Chris, Lavonna Roberson, Brianna and Melody Howard. The couple has two great granddaughters, Karter Watkins and Kynlie Russell.
Linda is a decorative artist and has been a member of the National Society of Decorative Painters for over 20 years. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family, granddaughters and great granddaughters.
Troy served in the US Air Force for four years, stationed in England for two years, and one year at Foster Field in Victoria, Texas. He has served the Korean War Veterans chapter 223 as commander for four years, two years as vice commander, one year as secretary and now serves on the board of directors. He is also an active member of the Victoria Veterans Council. Each year he does full military honor for many funerals and memorials.
The couple's anniversary was a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday and the hopes of tomorrow.
