Victoria firefighters stand looking on at Mission Valley resident Bradley Yaeger's flipped Chevy 1500 Silverado. The accident occurred around 10 p.m. on last night on FM 236 when Yaeger attempted to avoid a deer by swerving and flipped the truck hitting a telephone pole. Yaeger was the only one involved and suffered no injuries.

A 19-year-old Mission Valley man escaped injury Monday night after his truck rolled on Farm-to-Market Road 236, near Stevenson Road.

Around 10 p.m. Bradley Yaeger, 19, was driving a red Chevrolet 1500 Silverado truck north on the farm road when he swerved to miss a deer; instead, he hit a utility pole. His truck rolled once, coming to rest on the roof, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Jeremiah Collins.

The pole, maintained by Victoria Electric Co-op, was knocked 3 feet off the ground, but no power outages were reported, the trooper said.
