Couple thanks family for meal
Editor, the Advocate:
To the lovely couple at IHOP Restaurant:
After recently purchasing our marriage license, my fiance and I decided to grab brunch at IHOP. The hostess noticed the marriage booklet I was carrying that's issued by the county clerk's office when granting a marriage license and asked if we were married. We replied that we would soon be married. A family with two young children was sitting at a nearby table in the near-empty restaurant. My fiance and I ate and happily discussed our future plans. As we prepared to pay the tab, our waitress announced that the couple at the nearby table had already paid for our meal.
Unfortunately, they had left quietly while we were still eating. Please allow me to share our heartfelt thanks to the lovely couple for their display of gracious generosity. In today's world, we often share stories of theft, rampant rudeness and ignorance. It's delightful to share the sweet gesture of complete strangers.
Thank you, lovely family! May you experience the blessing you gave us tenfold!
