Jaguars sit in 14th place after one day, two rounds of NAIA Contender

IRVING - The UHV men's golf team struggled through the first two rounds of the 2013 NAIA Contender in Irving at the TPC Four Seasons.

The Jaguars were in 14th place after two rounds Monday, with an overall team score of 641. Texas Wesleyan held down the top spot with a 574.

Vance Edwards and Steve Jones turned in the best scorecards for UHV, each with a 158 two-round score. Colton Martin finished the day one-stroke behind Edwards and Jones, while Will Dawson-Hicks finished with a 166 and William "Jake" Truss finished with a 169.

The Jaguars will wrap up the NAIA Contender on Tuesday.
