Crew surveys an accident scene involving a Ford pickup and a motorcycle that occurred at 10:30 PM on Laurent and East Rio Grande. The two driver and passenger on the motorcycle were transported to De Tar Hospital on Navarro.

Two people were injured and taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro late Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash near Rio Grande and Laurent streets.

The crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. and involved two people on a motorcycle and at least one in a Ford pickup.

Victoria Fire Battalion Chief Clifton Bayer said the two people rushed to the hospital were on the motorcycle.

Neither their identities nor the extent of their injuries were available late Wednesday night.

The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to break into several pieces at the intersection, which had to be temporarily closed to traffic on Laurent.

Both vehicles also needed to be towed from the scene.
