Farmer donates to fire department

The DaCosta Volunteer Fire Department will now be able to better serve the community thanks a donation of $2,500 from local farmer Kenneth Johnson and America's Farmers Grow Communities. The DaCosta Volunteer Fire Department will put the money to work by purchasing equipment for its fire truck. Remaining funds will go toward purchasing a new fire truck. At the presentation of the donation, from left, are Tommy Bertling, Raymond Brandl, Kenneth Johnson, Tony Pribyl and Scott Townsend.
