Enter our Harlem Shake contest

Dancing is not exactly everyone's forte, but when it comes to doing the Harlem Shake - well, anyone can do that.

This latest viral sensation is not too new, but people are still catching on, and the evidence is in the numbers.

More than 200,000 videos exist on YouTube, with some videos gaining more than 21 million views.

So maybe you have heard about the Harlem Shake but don't know much about it. Well, it's pretty simple.

One person starts off dancing as ridiculously as possible (in costume even), only to have a group of those around him join him with crazy, gyrating dancing when the bass of the song drops.

Simple enough, right? Care to prove it?

The Advocate wants the best Crossroads region Harlem Shake videos. The winner will get some awesome prizes toward dinner and a movie and be featured in the Advocate as the best Harlem Shake video.

We're looking for videos from anyone and everyone - schools, friends, retirement homes, offices, you name it.

Upload your video, no longer than 45 seconds, to YouTube. Once you upload it, send an email with a link to the video to jrortega@vicad.com and don't forget to include your name and contact information.

The videos will appear on VictoriaAdvocate.com for viewing and voting.

Submissions are open through March 31, and voting runs April 1-8. The winning group will be featured in the April 14 Victoria Advocate.

So what are you waiting for - go do the Harlem Shake!
