Receipts: 850

In two weeks (March 22) there will be 150 cows all less than 4 years old. Over 85 have calves, and the rest will be palpated.

Had 150 cows and 16 bulls. The packer market was again stronger on all classes as a limited supply of cows and bulls has made for a highly competitive market.

The calf market was steady to $2-$3 lower. Heavier calves were not off as much as lighter types which was a reverse of last week's market. Despite lower price levels, the market was steady at those levels.

Packer bulls: Heavy weights, $91-$108; lower grades, $67-$86.

Packer cows: breakers, $65-$80; boning cows, $65-$84; canners and cutters, $83-$95; light and weak, $62-$74.

Palpated (22 head bred): $80-$90; pairs (5 pair brought): $775-$1,250.
