"Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him."
- Psalm 37:7
I imagine there are a lot of people who don't know that God created spring break. On the seventh day, after creating the world, God rested. Back when the school year used to start in September, God counted seven months, and it was in March, and he created spring break so all the teachers, students and parents could rest.
I would write more, but it is spring break. Instead of writing, I am resting from writing by sitting by the sea with a rod and reel resting across my lap as the waves roll upon the beach. I think the fish have gone on spring break, too.
If spring break didn't come during the seventh month so we could rest, I think we would break and not be able to finish the school year. What a brilliant God we have for creating spring break.
Dear Lord, Thank you for knowing our needs even before we do. Please watch over all of us spring breakers as we rest and play on spring break so that we can finish the school year renewed.
