The body of the man who fell from his boat Saturday in the Guadalupe River was recovered Tuesday morning.

Larry Urban, 48, of Columbus, was found about 7:30 a.m., said Calhoun County Sheriff George Aleman.

"A resident who lives on the river spotted him," Aleman said. "Texas Parks and Wildlife personnel were already in the water and notified to go to that location."

Urban was one of two men who fell from a fishing boat near the Calhoun County and Refugio County line about 4 p.m. Saturday.

The second man survived being thrown into the water after their boat struck something in the river.

Neither were wearing life jackets, Aleman said.

Rex Mayes with Texas Parks and Wildlife said Urban was found almost in the exact area where he went in the water.
