Dwight V. Murray has scheduled a book signing from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Hastings Books, 5206 N. Navarro St.

Murray's newest novel, "Harlan McFadden," a work of fiction, is a story of a daughter's murder and a father's revenge set in modern-day Texas. It explores the repercussions of the hands-off policy of the federal government as the father seeks revenge for the murder of his 7-year-old daughter, an only child, after she is brutally killed by a ruthless member of a drug cartel.
