Time to detox the wardrobe of browns and dark fall colors and come out with the pastels, mint greens and soft hues. The spring wardrobe is soft and comfortable. The weather is just perfect to host lunch out on the lawn, eat at an outdoor caf and enjoy the cool breeze. And with that comes fashion that is casually chic to throw on for work and weekends.
Cottons and lightweight fabrics are ideal for our Texas spring weather. Depending on the structure of the dress, cotton is completely suitable to wear to work, dinner and also as a wedding guest.
Spring is the busiest time for weddings, and the brides aren't the only ones worried about what to wear for the festivities - if attending weddings as a guest, you will want to consider that cotton is completely suitable only if it is structured in a formal way: clean-cut, tailored and feminine.
Neutrals and nudes also come into play on fabrics this spring. Give a pop of color by simply adding cobalt blue, coral or peach. These colors work beautifully together. Tone on tone is also amazing - meaning that cream on cream or white on neutral colors works well with gold and or white accessories, creating a subtle and clean look.
For a casual weekend, look pair any of your soft spring looks with a denim jacket and cuff up the sleeves for a sporty look that is feminine and flirty. For ultra chic, wear a waist belt over your dress and top off the look with a blazer or denim jacket.
These looks have spring written all over them and are absolutely perfect for this amazing weather. Mix it up by adding a braid in your hair or red lipstick to complete the look.
