Calallen serves West baseball a third-straight district loss

CORPUS CHRISTI - A seventh-inning rally fell short, and Victoria West dropped a 7-5 District 30-4A baseball decision to Calallen on Friday night.

Blake Staff had a hit and two RBIs, and Shane Kallman had a hit and a RBI for the Warriors, who lost their third-straight district game and dropped to 8-10-1 overall and 1-3 in district.



T-M blanks West

CORPUS CHRISTI - Victoria West had only three hits and lost 6-0 to Tuloso-Midway in District 30-4A softball action Friday night.

Allena Cannady had a double for the Warriors, who fell to 3-2 in district.



Flyers blank Savio

AUSTIN - Jerry Vasquez pitched a one-hitter to lead St. Joseph to a 2-0 TAPPS District 3-4A baseball win over Austin St. Dominic Savio on Friday night.

Vasquez struck out nine and walked four.

Adam Konarik had a hit and a RBI for the Flyers, who improved to 13-8 overall and 3-1 in district.



Lady Flyers win

AUSTIN - Alyssa Adames hit a solo home run, and St. Joseph went on to a 5-3 TAPPS District 3-4A softball win over Austin St. Dominic Savio on Friday night.

Mariah Clay and Sarah Sainz added RBIs for the Lady Flyers, who improved to 5-3 overall and moved into a tie for the district lead with a 3-0 mark.
