Tom Followwill, right, of Victoria, has been selected as a representative from Victoria Electric Cooperative's youth to participate in the 2013 Government-in-Action Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. on June 13-21. Participants will have opportunities to learn first-hand what it is like to be involved in politics, community service and today's pressing issues in the energy industry. Students will meet their elected representatives in the U.S. House and Senate, see historic sites, and meet nearly 1,500 students from across the country participating in their state's Youth Tour program. Pictured with Followwill is Blaine Warzecha, VEC general manager.
