A small building caught fire early Sunday across the street from the Victoria County Jail.
At 3:30 a.m., the Victoria Fire Department received a call reporting the rising flames at 105 N. Moody St. The structure was unoccupied.
The case is under investigation, and the owner of the building is not known, Fire Capt. Shawn Rainey said. The blaze gutted the small structure.
The Victoria County Appraisal District lists the property owner as Abenco Inc. It was appraised at $11,400 in 2012.
