Victoria police are seeking a man who robbed a Stripes convenience store early Monday morning.

At 12:20 a.m., a man entered Stripes at 2002 N. Navarro St. claiming to have a weapon. A small amount of cash was taken, said Lt. Mike Hernandez, Victoria Police Department spokesman.

The man fled in a vehicle, and Victoria police pursued him. He abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

The man's vehicle hit a patrol car and caused minor damage. There were no injuries, Hernandez said.

"Officers set up a perimeter, and he could not be located," said Hernandez.
