Sandwiches are a serious business. There's such a slim margin between a forgettable meeting of some stuff stacked between a couple of slices of bread and a sandwich that is like a symphony for the mouth.
Jason's Deli offers such a musical experience for the mouth, according to voters. It was voted best sandwich shop in the Advocate's 2013 Best of the Best contest.
The restaurant offers ingredients that are impeccably fresh and paired in a variety of creative ways to satisfy the longings of almost every sandwich enthusiast.
The key is in the quality of ingredients and the fact that the restaurant offers something for everybody, manager Jeff Hicks Jr. said.
"We have lots of different things on the menu. We have a gluten-free menu for those who need it and a lot of organic things," he said. "This gives people something aside from burgers and greasy pizza and fried chicken to eat."
Hicks said it's nice for him and his coworkers to be recognized for what they do.
"It's a pretty great feeling," he said.
