If you're looking for a good cut of beef, Texas Roadhouse is the place to find it, manager Brian Colwell said.
"We put a lot of love and care into the steaks," he said.
At Texas Roadhouse, steaks are hand-cut every day by an employee who works 10 to 12 hours a day carving the beef in a room kept at 32 degrees. The restaurant never serves steak that has been frozen, ensuring customers will get a steak that is fresh and full of flavor, Colwell said. That's why the kitchens are kept in full view of the restaurant, so customers can see how the food is being prepared. Colwell said he thinks that's why people voted Texas Roadhouse the best steak restaurant in the Advocate's Best of the Best competition.
"People know a lot about how we do our steaks," he said. "I think the connection between the guests and us and the guests knowing everything about what we do is a big part of why they keep coming back."
Colwell said he was thrilled to learn the restaurant had won again for the steak it takes so much pride in serving.
"It feels good. We appreciate our customers so much. Without them, we wouldn't be who we are," he said.
