Connie D. Wood, owner of Market of Victoria, is celebrating almost 10 years in the retail business and her first win as the Victoria Advocate's best antique shop voted on by readers.
She believes her store has grown popular in the Crossroads because of the unique stained and painted wood furniture it offers.
The 5,000-square-foot store also boasts clothing, shoes and candles made by about 18 featured artisans that are constantly changing.
"That's why we call it a 'market.' There's always something different," Wood said. "We also have a very loyal customer base. They can run in on their lunch hour and find a gift easily."
