APRIL 2013

Although the rainfall in April was almost at normal levels, 2.79 inches compared to the norm of 2.82, April's showers didn't necessarily translate into May flowers.

The continued drought, only 7.2 inches of rain in Victoria for the first quarter of the year, continued to plague the area.

According to the National Weather service, severe drought conditions will persist in South Texas throughout the summer.
