With only two weeks left until the Project Elevation reveal, Faith Family Church volunteers are racking up plenty of volunteer hours to finish a home makeover for a Victoria family.

Part of the church's annual Servolution project, which dedicates volunteer man hours to more than a dozen service projects around town, Project Elevation is remodeling the exterior and interior on Ramiro and Domingo Ybarra's single-family home.

Faith Family Community Outreach Pastor Mark Longoria said the home initially had 17 holes in the roof, and the home's foundation was rotting.

Midway through the project, a new roof, electrical system, central air and heat has been installed, and the exterior and interior framing has been completed.

More work is scheduled to be done including flooring, painting and rebuilding the Ybarra's outdoor shed.

Longoria said they are still searching for financial and material supporters and volunteers with a contracting, or home building skill set.

Longoria said he hopes to move the Ybarras back into their home by Memorial Day weekend.

For more information or to contribute to Project Elevation, call Mark Longoria at 361-573-2484, Ext. 31.
