TAPPS STATE TRACK: Faith bringing back hardware from five events

WACO - Faith Academy has some new hardware to show off.

The Cougars and Lady Cougars placed in the top three in five events.

Junior Gabby Torres turned in an impressive performance in field events, winning first place in the discuss and second in the shot put.

Junior Craig Hogen was the other Cougar to bring home medals in two seperate events. Hogen won first place in the 110-meter hurdles and was a part of Faith's 4x100-meter relay team that finished in third place.

Senior Courtne Grevey capped off her impressive high school career with a first place finish in the 800-meter run.

Hope Burns finished seventh in the 100-meter dash.



LADY FLYER TAKES THIRD IN 300-METER HURDLES

WACO - St. Joseph's Annie Gilliam turned in a solid performance at the TAPPS 2A state track and field meet.

Gilliam won third place in the 300-meter hurdles. She also finished fifth in the 100-meter hurdles. Lauren Williams finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.

Amanda Groenhuyzen placed sixth in the 100-meter dash and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles.

The 400 meter relay team finished seventh.
