Mark Zafareo, M.D., head and neck surgeon at the MD Anderson Regional Care Center in Sugarland, throws out the first pitch at the MD Anderson Regional Care Center "Strike Out Cancer Night" at Constellation Field on May 4. The annual event honors local cancer patients and survivors, recognizes area cancer specialists and this year raised money for Cinco Charities, a non-profit organization that assists cancer patients and their families with temporary housing during treatment. Zafareo is a St. Joseph High School alumnus.
