DPS still investigating one-vehicle rollover in Mission Valley

Officials investigate a one-vehicle wreck on Farm-to-Market Road 236 near Champlain Street around 11 p.m. Thursday. One person was taken to a Victoria hospital.

Department of Public Safety troopers are still working to determine whether a man who rolled his pickup truck in Mission Valley on Thursday night was intoxicated.

Ryan Dolejsi, 27, of Inez, was traveling south in his white four-door Chevrolet Silverado truck on Farm-to-Market Road 236 when he drove into the northbound lane, Trooper James Vinson said.

Dolejsi then hit a ditch, which sent him into a rollover. His truck came to rest on the passenger side next to a utility pole in the 1500 block of the farm road, Vinson said.

Witnesses said Dolejsi was asking for beer afterwards but Vinson has not had the opportunity to interview Dolejsi since the wreck.

Vinson is awaiting Dolejsi's blood results.

Dolejsi was taken by ambulance to DeTar Hospital Navarro. He was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The investigation is ongoing.
