Students selected for conference on governance

St. Joseph High School juniors Collin Hartman, Jarrett Howell and Barclay Proctor have been nominated by the STJ administration to attend the American Legion Texas Boys State Conference at the University of Texas-Austin campus June 9-14.

After an interview with the Victoria Chapter of the American Legion, they were selected to attend the conference with all fees paid.

The American Legion Boys State Conference is a educational program of government instruction for high school students.

It is a participatory program where each student becomes a part of the operation of his area, county and state government.

It has been a program of The American Legion since 1935.
