Victoria police blotter for May 19

Wreck

VICTORIA - Rowland Hill, of Victoria, driving a green Toyota Sienna, struck the front and passenger sides of Kimberly Fox's blue Honda Civic on Sunday at the intersection of North Navarro and Glascow Streets. Fox's mother, Gayle Fox, of Victoria, who was riding in the passenger seat, was transported to DeTar Navarro with minor injuries. Rowland and Fox was uninjured. No citations were issued.



Burglarized

VICTORIA - A 2012 maroon Dodge Ram in a parking lot in the 1600 block of East North Street on Thursday. Two payroll checks valued at $4 were reported missing.

VICTORIA - A 2001 blue Jeep Cherokee, a 2005 white Pontiac Grand Prix and a green Chevrolet Trailblazer at a parking lot in the 4100 block of North Navarro Street on Friday. A pink zebra-print purse valued at $25, a pink and black wallet 60 with jewels in the shape of a cross valued at $15, about $200 in cash, Nicki Minaj perfume valued at $60, a birth certificate valued at $2, a Social Security card valued at $2, a bank card valued at $2, a leopard-print makeup bag valued at $20, a miscellaneous makeup bag valued at $50, a grey Express purse valued at $50, a grey wallet valued at $30, a Social Security card valued at $2, a bank credit card valued at $2, an assorted make-up bag valued at $60, a black leather purse valued at $50, a Marilyn Monroe wallet valued at $10, a Social Security card valued at $2 and a medicaid card valued at $2, were reported missing. The front passenger windows were also damaged on each vehicle. The damage to each vehicle was valued at $150.



Sentenced

VICTORIA - Carey Andrew Avants, 48, of Victoria, to 180 days in state jail after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions.

VICTORIA - Travon Lawrence Pichon, 31, of Houston, to two years probation after his sentence was amended Tuesday in a 2007 violation of probation possession of a controlled substance between 1 and 4 grams case.

VICTORIA - Daniel Oscar Gomez Jr., 27, of Bloomington, to two years probation and another two years of probation after his sentences were amended Tuesday for a 2005 burglary of a habitation case and a 2004 theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000 case, respectively.

VICTORIA - Rebecca Lynn Perry, also known as Rebecca Lynn Bolton, 35, of Conroe, to five years probation and 250 hours of community service after her sentence was amended Tuesday in a 2011 criminal mischief between $1,500 and $20,000 case. Perry was also sentenced to five years probation after her sentence was amended in another April 2011 theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000 case.

VICTORIA - Rufus Garcia, 33, of Houston, to five years in prison after he pleaded guilty Wednesday to aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

VICTORIA - Daniel Barron Sr., 29, of Victoria, to three years probation after he pleaded guilty Wednesday to assault of a family or household member with a previous conviction.

VICTORIA - Michael Robert Taylor, 29, of Victoria, to five years probation and 80 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty Wednesday to evading arrest detention with a vehicle.

VICTORIA - Aaron Mario Jimenez Jr., 18, of Victoria, to two years probation and 80 hours of community service after she pleaded guilty Wednesday to abandoning or endangering a child with imminent bodily injury.

VICTORIA - Elias Lopez Brown III, 23, of Victoria, to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty Wednesday to possession of a controlled substance between 1 and 4 grams.

VICTORIA - Taylor Ray Tompkins, 18, of Victoria, to 10 years probation and 100 hours of community service after his sentence was amended Wednesday in an aggravated assault of a date, family or household member with a weapon case.

VICTORIA - Arnoldo Perez Gonzalez, 55, of Palmview, to 10 years in prison after his probation was revoked Wednesday in a 2009 possession of marijuana between 50 and 2,000 pounds case.
