Cuero native Kathleen Wild received
Cuero native Kathleen Wild received her doctor of pharmacy degree, graduating magna cum laude from the Texas A&M Health Science Center Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy on May 11 in Kingsville. Wild served as the 2013 class representative, American Pharmacist Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists vice president of patient care, president of Pharmacy Student Council in 2012 and Phi Lambda Sigma delegate. She was awarded the APhA-ASP Senior Recognition Award by her colleagues for her work in the student organization at the college awards ceremony May 10. Faculty awarded her with three honors at the student awards: the CVS/Caremark Growth and Development Award, which recognizes overall growth in attitude, knowledge, maturity and teamwork while in college and superior professional development; Facts and Comparisons and Lexicomp Award of Excellence in clinical communications which recognizes high academic achievement and superior verbal and written clinical communication skills; and the Kleberg Bank Community Service Award recognizing Wild's outstanding and unselfish civic, community or church volunteer service, provided outside the scope of regular pharmacy practice.
