Pellet gun found on East High School campus; student not arrested
A Victoria East High School senior was not arrested Thursday afternoon after a pellet gun was found in her car.
The pellet gun belonged to a junior boy who placed the gun in the girl's car, Victoria school district officials said.
"The female student was completely cooperative," said Greg Crockett, school principal. "Both of the students will be punished for breaking the student code of conduct."
Victoria police did not arrest either student following the noon incident.
School officials received a tip about the gun from another student, he said.
Crockett could not say what punishment the students received because that would violate the students' privacy rights.
